How We Make Money

ChipReign now earns affiliate commission from its first operator partnerships, alongside the founder’s own funding. Commission is our only commercial revenue, disclosed in full on the Affiliate Disclosure and on every page carrying a commissioned link. No ad network, no sponsored rankings, no sold placements, no paid reviews.

The Short Version

Casino review sites run on three possible revenue models: advertising networks, affiliate commission from operators, and paid-for placements dressed up as editorial. ChipReign uses one of those, affiliate commission, and we’re public about it.

Our first affiliate partnerships are now live, so the site is beginning to earn commission on eligible sign-ups. The founder still funds the rest out of pocket while the editorial library grows. We only sign partnership terms that preserve editorial independence, so commercial deals never shape our verdicts.

Site hosting, domain, analytics, research tools and the time the team spends writing are funded by the founder. That situation is the one this page describes today. When any line item above becomes non-zero, this page updates the same day.

The Future Model: Affiliate Commission

Online casino affiliate sites earn money when a reader clicks through to an operator and signs up. The operator pays the affiliate for each new depositing player (a flat Cost Per Acquisition fee, typically $50–$250) or a percentage of the operator’s net revenue from that player over time (Revenue Share, typically 20–50%). Many deals use a hybrid of both.

Crucially, none of that commission comes from the player. You pay the same bonus, wagering, odds and withdrawal T&Cs whether you arrive at an operator via ChipReign, via Google search, or by typing the URL directly. Full mechanics on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

What ChipReign Will Not Do for Money

Half a dozen hard lines. Not the kind we flirt with.

Sell a ranking. No pay-to-play positions on any roundup or comparison list. Rankings track our Review Methodology score.
Publish sponsored posts that look editorial. If we ever run paid content, it will carry an “Advertisement” label at the headline, not in the footer.
Partner with unlicensed operators. No matter the commission rate. We publish criteria for partnership on the Affiliate Disclosure page; it’s a short list, and every criterion is non-negotiable.
Accept gifts, hospitality or trips from operators in exchange for coverage. Event attendance (conferences, regulator briefings) is on our own budget.
Sell reader data. We do not have enough reader data for that to be a meaningful revenue line, and even if we did, it is not a line we would cross.
Take money to remove a negative review. An operator contacting us about a factual error we’ve made gets a prompt correction (see Corrections Policy). An operator contacting us with cash to soften a verdict gets the email forwarded to the responsible-gambling footer row and no reply.

How We’ll Announce the First Affiliate Partnership

When the first operator partnership goes live:

This page updates from “no live partnerships” to a current, dated statement of which operators we work with and in which markets.
The Affiliate Disclosure page updates with the same information.
Every page on the site carrying a commissioned link displays a visible disclosure banner above the first link.
Email subscribers get a notification explaining what’s changed.
The Document History tables at the bottom of both this page and the Affiliate Disclosure log the date and the change.

No silent monetisation.

Ranking Integrity After Monetisation

Every ranked casino is scored against our published methodology before any commercial conversation with that operator. The score sets the ranking. Once a partnership is active, commission does not move a casino up or down. If a partner underperforms and drops below its competitors on next review, the review reflects that. What Your Click Actually Does

When (eventually) you click a commissioned link on ChipReign:

You arrive at the operator with a tracking ID that tells them you came from us. That tracking ID is anonymous; it does not carry your identity, email or browsing history.
If you sign up and deposit, ChipReign earns commission from the operator according to our partnership terms.
Your bonus, wagering, payment options, payout time, support experience and game library are identical to what you would see arriving without the tracking link.
You can decline tracking at any time by using a non-commissioned link to the operator or navigating directly. The review itself remains free to read either way.
