Dice is the classic provably fair crypto-casino game: set a target number, bet whether the roll lands over or under it, and adjust your win chance to set your payout. The Stake version runs a market-leading 99% RTP, and you control everything from a near-certain win to a long-shot 10,000x. Here is the honest guide: how it works and where to play. This is crypto Dice, not craps.

Our score: 4.0/5. The purest provably fair game there is, with a superb 99% RTP and total control over your risk. Marked down because it is stark and repetitive, and its auto-bet plus adjustable odds make it a magnet for doomed betting systems.

What is crypto Dice?

Dice is the original provably fair crypto-casino game, and one of the simplest games you can play. A virtual die produces a random number, typically on a 0 to 100 scale. You set a target, choose whether to bet the roll will land over or under it, and adjust your win chance. Roll, and an instant number decides win or lose. That is the whole game. It is not craps, and it is not a slot; it is its own instant-outcome format that has been a crypto-casino staple for years.

How Dice works

The payout scales inversely with your win chance. The multiplier is simply 99 divided by your win-chance percentage, where the 99 reflects the 1% house edge. So a 50% win chance pays close to 2x, a 2% win chance pays about 49.5x, and pushing the win chance down toward 0.01% chases a multiplier up around 9,900x to 10,000x. You set your own risk, from an almost-certain small win to a rare huge one, by dragging one slider. The RTP stays around 99% wherever you set it.

There is an auto-bet mode too, where you set a base stake, a number of rolls, stop-loss and stop-win limits, and on-win or on-loss adjustments, and the game rolls hands-free.

Dice RTP and provably fair

The RTP is around 99%, a 1% house edge, one of the best in the casino, and it holds across every win-chance setting. Each roll is provably fair: the result comes from a server seed committed in advance, your own client seed, and an incrementing nonce, hashed together, and you can verify any roll in the fairness tab afterwards. On max win, the figure varies by casino; Stake’s cap is commonly cited at 10,000x and older crypto-dice models around 9,900x, both reached only at the very lowest win chance.

A hard truth about Dice systems

Dice is the game people most love to attack with betting systems, and none of them work. Martingale, where you double after a loss, Fibonacci, D’Alembert, seed-switching, all of them, cannot change the fact that the 1% house edge applies independently to every single roll. A system can change the shape of your wins and losses, but over time the edge is untouched, and Martingale in particular can wipe out a bankroll fast on a losing streak. Play Dice for what it is, a clean, fair coin-flip you control the odds on, not as something you can beat.

Where to play Dice

Dice is a staple at nearly every crypto casino. The Stake Originals version is the reference, and versions appear across crypto sites. The casinos below are the ones we have tested that carry provably fair instant games. Scores are out of 10.

Chip’s verdict on Dice

Dice is the casino stripped to its bare mathematical bones, and there is a purity to that. A 99% RTP is about as fair as gambling gets, the provably fair system is watertight, and being able to dial your own odds from near-certainty to a 10,000x long shot puts you in control in a way few games do. For a player who wants a clean, honest bet with no dressing, it is ideal.

My honest reservations are that it is stark and repetitive, and that its very simplicity draws people into betting systems that cannot work and can drain a bankroll fast. Play the odds you actually want, set a firm budget, ignore every “Dice strategy” going, and enjoy the fairest game in the house. Score it 4.0 out of 5. See how we rate.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of crypto Dice?

Around 99%, a 1% house edge, which holds across every win-chance setting on the Stake version. Some third-party versions vary, so check the specific game.

What is the max win on Dice?

The maximum multiplier is around 9,900x to 10,000x depending on the casino, reached only at the very lowest win chance (about 0.01%), which is an extreme long shot.

Does any Dice betting system work?

No. Martingale, Fibonacci and every other system cannot change the 1% house edge, which applies to every roll independently. Systems only reshape your wins and losses, and Martingale can drain a bankroll fast.

Is Dice provably fair?

Yes. Each roll comes from a server seed, your client seed and a nonce, and you can verify any result in the fairness tab afterwards, so the outcome cannot be altered after your bet.

Is crypto Dice the same as craps?

No. Crypto Dice is a simple over/under game on a random number where you set your own win chance. Craps is a different, physical dice game with its own rules and bets.

Can I play Dice for free?

Yes. Free demo and play-money modes are available, especially through BGaming and casino demo pages, and you can try the mechanic in our own free Dice game.
